Default Reformed Jewish Communities in San Diego

My wife and I are parents of two young children, ages 6 and 3, and are seriously thinking about relocating to San Diego from NYC. We like the city and find it beautiful. We are curious as to any mixed communities that have some form of Jewish population as we are a multi-religious family ... your thoughts would be very welcome.

Thank you ...

San Diego is a very large area. Do you have any idea where you are interested in living?

I have no idea which ones are reformed or orthodoxed as I am not Jewish but there is a large Jewish community in La Jolla/University City as well as a decent sized community in Scripps Ranch as their is a Chabad there.

My son went to a Jewish preschool years ago off cowels mountain rd in san carlos. They have a synagoge there too. Try Allied Gardens or San Carlos. Both very nice areas and have lots of Jews.
Also look up Jewish academy in San Diego and you will see where the school is in La Jolla. I would contact them and ask around.

Googling "Jewish San Diego" would likely help you. I found this very close to the top with just a simple Google search.

My husband and I moved to SD from Chelsea a little more than two years ago and we are also Jewish. We are not Reform Jews so we don't know of many Reform synagogues. I believe Temple Emanu-El and Temple Adat Shalom are Reform. The Jewish population in SD is not very large compared to NYC and you won't find anything like crown heights or borough park(not what you're looking for anyway) but it is a decent Jewish population. There is a Jewish community in La Jolla(JCC located here), Carmel Valley, Scripps Ranch, Poway, San Carlos and from what I hear even Chula Vista. There are probably many I'm unaware of. There's an annual Yom Ha'atzmaut celebration in SD and there you can see families from all over the county gather.
