I grew up and lived in the Washington, DC area for most of my life. I finally got fed up and fled to Tucson in the winter - it was heaven! I'm here to stay now, and don't miss the cold and snow at all! No more ice scrapers, snow brushes, and de-icer. I used to not only carry all that in my car, but keep them in my desk at work also in case of an ice storm. Without de-icer, you can't get into your car because the locks are frozen..... Yuck!

Yeah, not a tree in sight and the traffic going up there is always bumper to bumper, right?

You want to see snow from you window and make snowmen in your backyard? If that's the case, why did you move to SD in the first place? Did someone lie to you and tell you that it snowed here? That Minnesota winters have nothing on us?
If so, they were a fool and you are the bigger fool for believing them. Wow, just wow!

I find that its fine (or at least bearable) w/o A/C downstairs, but it does get hot upstairs. Better buiding design would've addressed that problem, but c'est la vie.

I dislike snow, blizzards, sleet, ice storms, freezing cold temperatures and the like, and dislike all of the above. I tried skiing once, and said never again! I don't miss the DC area at all! I'm very cold blooded and get sick, even in the San Diego winters. I like it warm, and lived in Tucson for a while. For me XMAS is XMAS no matter what the weather is like. I can't imagine living with snow again.

My experience with San Diego is that people are very pleasant overall. I'm often taken aback with how nice people are when I'm there.

"I have lived in San Diego for 10 years. I am in my mid-30's. The beach is great, but other than that the city is dirty, parking is insane and just drama every time you go out to run even a simple errand."

Dude have you been to LA? San Fran? Chicago? NYC? You are pretty much describing every major city in the US. As highly populated urban areas go, SD is about as low-key and clean as you are going to find.
Best of luck in finding a major upgrade. Let us know how that works out and please tell us where that may be.

yeah San Diego is one of the cleanest cities I have been too despite the sewer smell everywhere. Thats just from no sewer system so it collects in a pool of goo. lol Overall the city is pretty clean.
Moved: I can see your point. However you made me chuckle somewhat. "you couldnt imagine living in snow again"? lol sure ya can, you already have
