I'm new to the forum. My wife and I are pretty new at being married, she's just graduated with a Masters, and we're looking to move to San Diego from South Carolina. We're looking to rent for about 6 months, then purchase a home. We're 24 and 32, adventurous (not THAT kind of adventurous), open minded, love the city and nightlife, edgy music and clubs, and love the outdoors. She'll be working in international adoptions and I'm in web development, video production, and litigation support.

I've been reading alot of the posts and will have many questions about neighborhoods, job markets, etc in the future when I'm a bit less stupid about San Diego.

But I was wondering in the meantime if anybody has any tips, advice, etc. that might point me in the right direction of where to start.
