Default Best Place to buy furniture in SD w/ great prices?

I was looking online at a place called the furniture warehouse in CV today. The prices look pretty good but I was wondering if I can do better? Any longtime locals know of any places with super deals on sofas and lazy boys?

Craigslist, really, but for a furniture store you should probably look along Miramar Road, there are over 20-30 stores for furniture and home items (futons, tile, rug, office, etc...).

I need a place that will deliver. I can't fit anything in my honda so craigslist is not an option.

Buying something from Craigslist isn't a problem. Check under the labor and moving section for Howard. He delivers for $40 minimum depending on how far he has to travel. I just bought a couch at Salvation Army, and I met him there with the receipt. He has a pickup truck, and my couch was in my place within 15 minutes. His website is called Friends “Free Ads”, and I highly recommend him. He's honest, has references, and won't rip you off. He's the one on the first page with a photo.

If it suits your taste, consider IKEA. I have bought stuff from there that didn't fit into my car until I took it out of the carton and put the various parts into my car. (They may deliver ...? I wouldn't be willing to pay anyone to deliver, so I haven't been paying attention to their delivery policies.)

I think this place is very reasonable and they will deliver all the furniture you order from them for only $50! Also, they have a lot more in their catalog than what's listed on the website:

I would also keep an eye out on Craigslist or at least take a peek to see what they have in the thrift stores. Sometimes they get in things that have been discontinued from stores.

Salvation Army has some really nice furniture, and they get shipments twice per week.

Default Furniture

I'll second the Ikea choice, as long as you don't expect your furniture to last more that about two years before it falls apart.

In my personal experience with Ikea, furniture lasted about 5 years. The problem was that I moved 3 times during those years, and Ikea furniture does NOT like to be disassembled and reassembled many times..
