Question Do you miss the change of seasons?

Even though I adore SD and the beautiful weather, as an East Coast person most of my life, I wonder if I would miss the changes.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

i think about that myself, as a east coaster planning to move to san diego. i think that i would easily get used to the lack of season changes, because most of the year i am daydreaming about sunshine and comfortable weather. most of the year around here it is either too cold or too hot. whats to miss about sweating and freezing? i would probably miss the scenery of snow-it has a charm around the holidays, but i guess that is what screensavers are for right?

I'm from the Midwest, and I do not miss the changes at all. In Kansas it was drastic hot weather and drastic cold weather and lots and lots of wind. It's nice to know that out here there's just a consistency nice days. I figured, I can always fly back home during the holidays if I miss the snow, or just drive north for a little bit.

Default Seasons

I miss the summer rainstorms. Hardly any precipitation here.

I am from a place that had 4 seasons and so far I don't miss it at all. I constantly marvel at the consistency of the weather and the fact that I never seem to need to run heat or air. Back home there were maybe a total of 5 days a year like that! I would probably miss Fall the most, but not only was I surprised to see some nice foliage in the SD area, you have only to drive a mere 90 minutes away to a town called Julian, to experience Fall in all its glory. Around Christmas I drove an even shorter distance to experience snow for a few hours and then was able to come back to sunny SD. Where else can you do that in one day?

Yes I miss it. the rainstorms especially. And cold, clear days in winter when the sun is out and the sky is blue, the air is crisp and everything seems clean.

I did at first, when I moved to NC. Now I hate it especially the hot and humid summers. i'd take the weather there anyday.

My husband grew up in Peekskill, NY and was reluctant to move to San Diego with me after college (I grew up here) because he thought he would miss snow. Now, he would never go back. The fact that he can wear a t-shirt all year (with a light jacket in winter) has become very attractive to him. And summer in most parts of the country are miserable. Not here. Tons of houses don't even bother to have A/C.
And we do have seasons, they just don't hit you over the head with a sledgehammer. They're subtle. Winter is wet and green with growth, spring is greener and warmer, summer is brown and warm, fall is hotter and drier with a sprinkling of autumn color in trees.
