Default Considering a move to san Diego-best school districts for Autistic kids?

Hi we are considering a move to San Diego from Los Angeles where we have pretty good Autism services. We have two high functioning Autistic kids (4th and 1st grade)and a typical child in high school who is in an academically accelerated program here in L.A.. We want to know before we start looking for housing where the good programs are in San Diego? We are currently in the public school system here. We are debating on having my husband commute if we are unable to find programs that are equal to, or better than our current situation. Any and all referrals will be appreciated!

Mouken: One of our real estate clients researched the San Diego autism resources issue for months and ended up doing a guest blog about that very issue: San Diego Autism Resources | Carlsbad, Encinitas and San Diego Luxury Real Estate

Your two kids appear to be high functioning, and you will likely find great resources within several North County Districts. I would advise, though, staying within the broader San Dieguito Union High School District if you are plan on living in the San Diego area for more than a few years.

Hi,
I have a high functioning autistic son. we live in Yorba Linda, in Orange County and the programs here are awsome. Take a look at the Placentia-Linda School District. When we were looking for a place to move to, a couple of our friends who are ABA Specialists told us the Placentia-Linda School District has the best Austism program in Orange County. Living here now, I agree with them.
