I'm going to be moving in August. Ironically all of my stuff is in cardboard boxes...but I don't feel like repacking all of the stuff again, tape, box assembly, box tearing, etc.

Seattle has a number of lucrative companies where they offer basically residential versions of what COR-O-VAN offers: They offer plastic, reusable, closing containers for shipping, drop them off, then pick them up when you're done. I find this to be a very convenient service offering that I'd love to take advantage of. However, no matter how much I search, I don't find a similar service in San Diego. I'm appalled that U-Haul isn't on the ball.

Does anyone know of one?

Disclaimers:
NO, I do not want to hire movers.
NO, I do not want to buy used cardboard boxes off Craigslist.
NO, I do not want to pay $40 a pop for containers on Amazon.

I did, and found nothing, except for the whole Big Box that you fill up and they move. I'm talking something smaller.

You can buy that specific type at Sam's Club. I prefer the ones w/ the removable tops, however, which u can find at Target and reuse over and over for home storage, especially if u have kids.

No no, I'm not talking purchase, I'm talking rental...where they drop off X number of boxes for you, you do your move, they pick up the empty.

Never heard of what you are describing, sounds like a cool idea for a business though.

I'm sure you've seen it. COR-O-VAN does it for business moves, and then there are 3-4 companies in Seattle that do it. I'm just shocked a similar company is not to be found out here on the residential end. I really don't want to buy the bins, because where I'm going, storage room is going to be a fraction of what I've got now.

Here it is in 2011 and I can't find a place that rents plastic moving bins to residential customers either. If anyone knows anything, please post!
