Looking for a pitbull friendly apartment complex in the San Diego area; anywhere in Northern County is also fine. I know I can try to rent a condo or house from a private owner (even that seems incredibly hard to find- please correct me if wrong as I am losing hope!) but wondering if anyone knows of any apartment complexes?

Yet another post that demonstrates why renters, especially those in tight/high cost housing markets, shouldn't have pets...especially pit bulls.

Kensington Commons (Kensington Commons Apartments - San Diego, CA) in San Diego (Kensington area), advertises as being dog friendly. Most buildings in Little Italy also allow pets, and I see pit bulls downtown all the time.

I actually own a condo in Dallas right now. Out here it's not that hard to rent with a pitbull and have definitely never come across any restrictions when buying (point being...I got the dog while living in TX so please spare me the lecture. However I agree with you that someone already living in a tight market such as SD should not seek out a pitbull unless ALREADY in a pitbull friendly home). I would like to move to San Diego county but would never leave my dog behind, so just seeing what my options are (if any). I would eventually buy in San Diego but prefer to rent first to get a feel for different areas.

There are plenty of rentals that take pets. These rentals are highly coveted with little turn over.

I can find rentals that take pets, easily. The problem is trying to find something with NO breed restrictions...

Check Craigslist under Little Italy. I see them there all the time, along with other areas downtown. Also, try Kensington Commons.
