We have a job offer for my wife in LaJolla. It includes some relo money. I will be leaving my job and my wife will be starting her new job. She has worked only part time over the past 9 years and now we have 2 kids and we are ready to both work.
I plan to spend 3 months out of work.. while she becomes the breadwinner. I am taking this time so I can look at schools, childcare, jobs, apartments and condos. .. and check out the beach and sights. I am an engineer with biopharm and semiconductor experience, so I assume with all of the San Diego tech companies, a job should be fairly easy. We are selling a house and trying to find an apartment or condo community with the least commute to LaJolla. What is the best apartments community? I see alot of condo's for rent. We are looking for a 2 - 3 bedroom for about $2,500 rent or $450k condo. Income around $160k with the two of us. We like the beach and flat walking areas. (we have browsed DELMAR, LAJOLLA, SOLANA) |

La Jolla is great, particularly the downtown area.
