I am 28 years old, single, and business professional. I am moving from living in the heart of downtown Minneapolis. I loved living there because of the resteraunts, shopping, bars, clubs, arts, and culture. I could walk to all of these including a farmers market. It was clean and people were very friendly. There mix of people out at night ranged from mid 20's to 30's and once could chose from a wine bar, up-sacel (older crowd) clubs or lounges, and a strip to bar hop. Of course, the weather was a huge drawback!

I am moving to San Diego for a new job. I was hoping to find an area down town that was similar to this and my price range is between 1200-1350. I think the beach is great and and know it wouldn't be too far from DT. I like how the DT area is next to a bay and wondered what it would be like close to the water.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

do you like making money?

What is your business?

Do you have something lined up already?

Just be aware San Diego is more of a destination for waiters who like to party and retired people than young, hungry businesspeople.

Little Italy is a nice area of downtown San Diego. Here's a rental example:
Treo at Kettner in Little Italy! (http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/apa/1351560859.html - broken link)

Here's the location:
1277 Kettner Blvd #415, San Diego, CA - Google Maps

Go for it. Check out the Little Italy or East village sections of Downtown SD.
