I'm relativly new to the area and truly would like to know what can be done to thin out this pack of coyotes. I understand I'm living in their world now, but this is truly scary...

Please, let me know what can be done, who to call or what you might have done to thin out your pack of coyotes...

Thanks

"GoAwayCoyote" lol. Must be a big enough problem for a seperate account. Keep all animals inside. They are seen as a tasty meal by the animals that eat them. Have you tried trapping or shooting them?

We're in our 8th year of drought so there likely isn't as much food as normal out there in the wild.

I know some guys that call and shoot on their own land in Ramona. You might have that as an option. A .17 hmr is a good close quarter yote round.

During those wet years and then the fires there has been a lot of feed for rabbits and deer. As a result the yotes population (along with bobcats and mt lions) has gone way up. I've never seen so many rabbits as the last few years. It's amazing the grass we get after a fire even if it's a low rain year.

All of the bigger deer (and most) came out of the fire areas that are on blm or cleveland land.
