As a teacher at LCC, this has been an interesting thread for me to run into. I will only say this: you can't go wrong with any of the North County schools. Each offers an array of courses, challenging academics, a HUGE variety of clubs, activities and student interest groups. I know dedicated, strong teachers at all of the schools mentioned in the thread. As for the negatives - if that is what you are looking for and focusing on, sure you'll find negatives. However, I believe the quality of education and experience our students get is superior to most, and this is true for ALL of the schools in our area.

Default More North County HS questions. Plz share details!

As a parent of a 7th grader preparing for relocation to North County and looking ahead to high schools, I am also very interested in learning about the different options.

A few more questions for folks on this thread:

I have not seen any posts on the Catholic High Schools... any thoughts?

I also have not seen much on Carlsbad HS... I'd love to know more. What do people REALLY think?

Which HS is the most diverse?

Which HS has the best art department? What kinds of classes are there?

What foreign language choices are there?

The more detailed info that folks are willing to give, the better. I think that we parents can agree that t is SO helpful to hear from students and their parents.

Thanks!!!
