Default Coronado Parking

Hello All,

If I want to visit Coronado, where can I park. I want to spend hours touring the place.

Thanks.

Here is the ferry schedule: San Diego Harbor Excursion - San Diego Harbor Cruises

Looks like it's a bit more than $1. Guess I haven't used it in quite a while.

Besides Ocean Blvd there's also free parking on nearby residential side streets. You might want to visit on a weekday, weekends are really bad for parking. This is all parallel parking and open spots can be tight. The ferry takes you to the opposite side of Coronado away from the Oceanside Blvd, the Del etc. I've never tried it but appears to be a very long walk to get to the other side. If you have a bike you can take it on the ferry and go just about anywhere . You can bike around the civilian side in twenty minutes or so.

If you choose to take the ferry, there is meter parking on Kettner Boulevard about 2 or 3 blocks south of Broadway. You are allowed 9 hours of parking at 75 cents per hour. The machine spits out a ticket that you place in your window. I believe parking on the street after 8 pm is free. $6.75 v $10, if you are watching your spending.

There's usually plenty of free parking in the Ferry Landing parking lot, or in Albertsons parking lot across the street:

According to Googole, it's 1.8 miles from the ferry landing to Ocean Blvd:
from: 1st st & b ave, Coronado, CA 92118 to: Ocean Blvd, Coronado, CA 92118 - Google Maps

Orange Ave is the main business street in Coronado. You can stop for an ice cream cone on your walk:

Sounds like a plan. Plus I'll have my DSLR on me. I'm a rookie photographer and would like to take some pics around Coronado. Anything significant there that is a must be photographed.
