Hello all,
I would like to relocate to southern California in general. However, I prefer to have a job lined up before I get out there. I'm a software engineer, but I haven't been able to attract California companies' attention. I even put on my resume that I will relocate at own expense if needed. Is the job market that bad out there? Thanks. |

We currently live in San Diego. My husabnd is a Java Developer. He recently updated his resume on Monster, and literally got 20 calls in about 2 days. Half the calls were for jobs in San Diego or LA. The rest were for Northern CA, or elsewhere. The Tech market has been pretty good in San Diego recently.

Well, I'm a EE and I just got a job out there as a software developer. I'm from Boston. Keep plugging and I'm sure you'll hit something eventually.

Tech job market is on fire out here! Get a headhunter working for you if need be - everyone's hiring and there is a real shortage of good candidates. Most of the jobs are at the senior level ... not so good for entry-level.
