MOCali is on a distinguished road
Default Wife and I and Jack Russell

Greetings, My wife and I are moving to Cali. and are trying to consider the best possible scenario, work, living expense, climate, etc. I was born in Culver City, but we have both been living in Missouri for most of our lives(St. Louis)We have both been out several times and have been researching area's that we would want to live. I have a strong Trades background (especially Painting and Faux finishes and finish carpentry) and she is is an optician.
What are the job opportunities like in these fields?
What citys or towns are dog friendly?
We own now but obviously prices are quite a bit higher out there. Are they starting to drop or would someone recommend renting first?
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I don't really know about jobs in your fields, but I can definitely say home prices are dropping here in San Diego. 2 years ago my husband and I were looking to buy. Currently, some of the same places are now selling for $100,000 less than they were 2 years ago. Of course this means that instead of $450,000 for a small 2 bedroom condo, it's $350,000, but it's still an improvement.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure most of San Diego is dog friendly. I know my neighborhood is.

V. =)

I've also heard about the prices dropping. I guess now would be a good time to buy.

As far as areas being dog friendly, of course if you own, you can have whatever pets you like, not the case with renting.
