No, CA is so diverse with SO many transplants you'll be just fine. I see so many different team logos all the time. A lot of Cowboys, Steelers, Eagles etc.

I went to a game earlier this year and I saw just as many jerseys from other teams as I did Charger jerseys. Manning may strike a nerve with some- how dare him for wanting to be in a bigger market like NY.
I think its funny because alot of Charger fans try to take back their city by buying and wearing Charger jerseys- just try to have an intelligent football conversation with them about their team and most of them still think Lorenzo Neal is still their fullback.

Keep in mind that most Charger fans hate Eli Manning (all the Mannings in general) because, although he was drafted he was just too good and special to come here and play...I don't see a whole lot of Manning jerseys around here. SD fans definitely have a grudge against Eli and Patton. I mean, you won't get attacked or anything if you wear your jersey but you might get some very unfriendly looks...just sayin...

You can wear about anything you want, no one will throw dagers, but they might throw some strange looks.
So, if you move there, which I hope you really think this thing out closely, you may want to put the T-Shirt in the closet until you, at least make a few friends.

I wear my Manning jersey every Sunday and no one has ever said anything to me. They're not the sports fans East coasters are. Either that, or they're too slow to say anything, which is something you'll need to get used to. Sarcasm? Forget it. They just don't get it around here. And get used to blank stares. Confusion is rampant, especially at four way stop signs.

yes, you will have to lose the sarcastic sense of humor ...people will think you're not "nice" Being nice is very important here.

jerseys
After this Sunday I don't think I want to wear that jersey My husband is a Colts fan...but anyway, we're nice to strangers and only open up to our sarcastic humor to each other or friends. Blank stares?...used to it. Nasty stares?...hmm...we're coming from NYC...used to it.
'Confusion is rampant, especially at four way stop signs.'--->LOL
The way I see it driving itself, wherever we go in this whole wild world, will be annoying/frustrating and that's just the way it is.

the apartments across from the Otay Ranch mall might be perfect for you. Otay Ranch is in East Chula Vista, which is the south bay of San Diego, your only 20 min from downtown. Anyways haha the Otay Ranch mall has a movie theater, mall stuff(Macy's, H&M, Apple Store etc.), Salon, Manicure area, wine tasting(i think there's a water tasting too?? O_o weird as **** right?? lol), Restaurants, BestBuy and a bunch of other things, ACROSS THE STREET to the north you have a Super Wal-Mart, Gamestop, other restaurants, Home Depot, Starbucks, Nuyo(frozen yogurt) and other stuff... on the southeast side of the mall you have InNOut!!, Vons, more restaurants and other stuff =] all walking distance from the apartments surrounding that whole area. i dont live in that area but i do live in Otay Ranch.
I was recently with a friend i picked up at her apartment north of the super walmart... you can just walk it.

Don't live in Otay Ranch or Chula Vista. It's really too close to Tijuana. You can find those same malls in other cities in San Diego County. If you come visit first just check them all out and move to where you feel comfortable, you will know.
