Oh really. Take a look at yourself. On many threads, you always mention that you have lived here for 40 years, that you and your family are happy, and that you are successful, blah, blah, blah. You fail to realize that no one cares. What if I was in the same situation you were in and bragged about it? That would P**s you off and or get on your last nerve, wouldn't it?

I wouldn't be so hostile towards you would just answer the question with an honest, non BS, intelligent answer that doesn't end with you talking about how you feel about SD; because that is not what I' am asking.

Mentioning that I've lived here for 40 years gives perspective. Ok? It means my opinion is based on more than just being stationed in the military, or being 20 and still living at home with my parents, or whatever. Everyone here is entitled to their opinion. Yours does not mean more than mine, nor vice versa. And it does **** me off when people like you spew negative, uneducated, uninformed crap on this board. Maybe reading that some people can be happy and successful in San Diego points out your own short comings or failings in life. Is that the case?

The short answer is, who cares if you like San Diego or not? I don't know you. I can't convince you that SD is a nice place, because for you, given your age, your educational level, your income level, and many other factors, it may never be a nice place. I was just wondering why someone like you and others would stay in a place you are not happy. It's like an abusive relationship, yet you stay. Why? That's all.
I've never said San Diego is perfect. It's not. In fact, I go out of my way to tell people who say they are considering moving here "it's not for everyone." You have set up a debate about something that cannot be proven one way or another.
I' am not staying. I' am leaving for Atlanta next month. How is my question unanswerable? Everyone else on here seems to be doing a fine job of answering it. Why can't you? Also, why should I care if you like San Diego or not? You make it seem like I and others on here should. No one cares about "your perspective." It doesn't answer the question, so you can just get lost already.

That is not the case at all. I have no shortcomings. I' am supporting myself while going to school and I' am transferring to a good 4 year university on the East Coast. Nothing I have said on here is uneducated in anyway. I have NEVER bashed San Diego in anyway or posted anything negative about the city anywhere on this forum or any other for that matter. I have been very happy in my time here. It's just not for me. You have done NOTHING to answer this question and you are the one stirring up the debate. If anything, you are the little child in all of this. Grow up and act your age.

I think it's a given that some people can be happy and successful here; just look at La Jolla, Del Mar, RSF, RB, ect. That's anywhere though. Heck there are successful people in International Falls, MN who are happy that they live there.

I can't imagine what would happen had I really been complaining! I guess they want to believe that even though they are unemployed and about to be homeless, SD is still the place to be!
Those people are nothing more than sheltered, uninformed immature morons that have nothing else better to do. Just ignore them and keep doing what you do. That's one major problem with SD; the fact that there are obviously many people who are always bored and have nothing else better to do then try to pick fights online with people that they don't know.

I gaurantee those people would be too afraid to say anything to someones face.
