Where to park around downtown for 3 days?
We are going to take the greyhound in Downtown and will be away for 3 days.
We rather not take the bus/trolley there.
What are some free (or cheap) parking spots nearby within walking distance from Greyhound in Downtown?

There's nowhere to park for free. You'll have to park in a lot, and most of them have different rates. I don't know of any lots that have 24 hour attendants, though. You're better off not leaving your car downtown.

There's cruise ship parking at the NW corner of W Broadway and Pacific Coast Hwy. It's something like $10 a day.

Free???LOL
That's extremely funny
Some of the people I know call it "Scam Diego" for a reason.
And like moved mentioned;I really doubt there are 24hr attendants.I wouldn't even leave my car up there for that long.

You can park for free. But when you get back from your trip, you won't have a car.

I don't know of any downtown where you can park for free for an extended period of time. There are garages on the main roads that you can park extended, there is also airport parking nearby along with the cruise ship parking.

What do you have against the trolley? Personally, I would leave my car at home and take a bus and trolley.

The parking lots near the airport are there expressly for people who want to leave a car for several days - for about $10 a day.
Then take a cab or hop on a bus, and go downtown. You said you wanted to avoid the bus/trolly, but from the airport to downtown is a really short trip, so maybe it might be acceptable to you?

Hey
Some people just straight up don't like it.Almost like a last resort type of thing. The best thing to do is have someone pick you up and drop you off in this situation if you are not a fan of MTS or the trolley.

Ther are plenty of free parking spaces downtown, you just have to know where they are. Here are a couple.
The whole block on the north side of A street between India and Columbia.
There are two un-metered spots on the south east corner of B street and Columbia right in front of Rice which is the restaurant for the W hotel. The spots are on B street. Usually this turns into 1 sopt though because the first person doesn't park correctly.
There is also 1 spot on Columbia on the east side between B and C streets. It's about 20 feet south of Karl Strauss brewery.
Good luck!
