I just spoke to a friend of mine that lives in Alexandria, VA. She said that they got 16.4 inches of snow, there's mounds of snow everwhere, and they haven't gotten this much in seven years. She said that every time she goes out she has to put her "YakTrax" on her shoes so she doesn't slip.

I don't miss it at all!

Snow only looks good in photos and on ski mountains. Elsewhere it is a pain.

And we'll get some rain, but in between, we'll have crisp, clear days and nights, with occasional 75+ degree days sprinkled in, then another rainy spell......repeat in that order....all the way thru March.

That's the way I like it!

I don't want to cry about the 16 + inches of snow we got here in the Wash DC Suburbs (Maryland , Silver Spring) , but everytime it rains alot or snows like it did this past weekend I just wish that San Diego would be getting all of this run off of "fresh water" from all the precipitation we get here.
I grew up here in the DC area and have ties here. But the short time I lived in the San Diego area I grew to love it more than I could ever imagine. But it does make me feel almost "guilty" everytime we have alot of wet weather to want to wish it to you all in San Diego County. I know its silly but thats the first thing that came to mind as I was shoveling my driveway out the last few days.

Anyway.......can't wait to get back. Of course it will be a few years till the wife gets out of the Navy. By then we hope to be mortgage free when we return to East Chula Vista !!!!
