I have to say that I enjoyed these storms and i'm a SD native too. I find it exciding and fascinating to have a change in weather. And I never once used an umbrella, in all this wind that is a huge joke!

Kind of like YOU and some of the posters in the SF forum when anyone slightly criticizes the Bay Area. Pot meet kettle. Your double standards are too predictable LMAO!

When you are used to some of the best weather in the world, of course this is gonna seem like a big deal. SDiegans are weather wimps b/c they are used to perfect weather, does anyone here really own an umbrella? I know I don't, I've bought them when I needed it then usually lose it b/c I never use it. Just as people in Miami are not used to temps below 60, just look at them a few weeks ago when they had 40 degree temps. I don' think it's a "bad" thing, it's just is what it is. Not even sure why this actually bothers some people. Either way, I really don't see anyone complaining that they wished it wasn't raining so I'm not sure where this is even coming from.

But I'm definitely looking forward to this weekend when it clears up and you can see the San Bernardino mountains covered in snow, such a great site. I think our own mountains will have some too. A week of much needed rain followed by a sunny weekend in the mid-60's, we have the BEST weather!

I would say about 90% of my co-workers are whining their pants off that it's raining.

You must work with some whiny people then b/c none of my friends or co-workers have complained, everyone has been fascinated or enjoyed it. Some are annoyed to get wet but who isn't?

I work in a very large building with 3 companies and over a thousand people in it... most are younger people in their 20's. They are generally a whiny bunch, I've found. I don't think any of them have a clue that we are in the middle of a multi-year drought.

Interesting, b/c that is pretty much what most of the people at my company are as well as my friends are yet I'm not hearing the complaining. Maybe it's the work environment playing a role in attitudes here...

We have a communal cafeteria in our building so you associate with everyone in the building. The complaining is mostly to the tune of "where's the sunshine?". It is a highly corporate environment, in my experience it attracts the very most self-centered people imaginable. Another major topic of complaining is that people drive too slow when it rains...

haha, okay that might makes more sense b/c my company is the complete opposite! We're in jeans today and it's a pretty laid back environment. Two completely different work atmospheres I suppose...

And the driving thing, yeah I've heard some of that too, as usual.
