I was curious if anyone knew of any good record stores in SD? I know of Lou's, Off The Record, CSL & United Records.

What I really want to do is some old fashion crate digging. I've been a DJ for 15 years, and have a pretty extensive collection of 12" dance records and old 45s. But I'd love to find some jazz, funk, blues.

Someone mentioned possibly visiting a thrift store, but the 2-3 times I've ever been in a thrift store, I never saw any records.

Thanks for the feedback.

M-Theory in Mission Hills is awesome. Don't know so much about the Jazz and Blues selection but they are very knowledgeable and helpful as to finding or obtaining recordings.

I was just at a little junk shop in Spring Valley that had boxes upon boxes of records- there must've been a thousand of 'em there at least, and they were all 50 cents. I didn't look through them (my boyfriend is the record-hound), so I don't know what all was there, but it's worth a shot. I don't recall the name of the place, but it's on Jamacha Rd (NOT Jamacha Blvd) just West of the 125, next to the *huge* Veteran's Thrift store. That thrift store often has a pile of records as well.

Also, at Kobey's swap meet there are always *tons* of people selling records- stick to the outside vendors/garage sale/junk seller types and you can find a little bit of everything.

Good luck!
