Hello,

I moved to Socal in aug 2009 and I currently live in ob. I chose ob because it was close to an internship i was doing for the past 5 months. Now the internship is over and I would like to find a place to call home. After being in Ob I have decided that the coast is not for me. I dont like the people ontop of people and houses on top of houses. I really enough having room (a spacious apartment or home with a yard where you dont hear everything your neighbors are doing). I would like to move more inland where I can find a place that is cheaper and a little more private. I do like to go to the beach and the mountains so somewhere inbetween would be perfect. Im looking for a place where $900/mo is my max for rent and a place that is pet friendly. I enjoy areas that have trails to walk/run and beautiful mountian scenery. I do like to dine out a lot and see local music so where ever i move there should me atleast an some sort of entertainment nearby. My boyfriend is looking for work in Big Bear and I work all over san diego county so somewhere inbetween the two would be ideal. Does anyone have any suggestions??

Thank you!

How far inland to you want to go? You can start with Lemon Grove, La Mesa, and El Cajon. There's also there's Santee and Lakeside. You do know that when you live inland, it get's really hot! It's nothing like the coast.

IF your BF is looking for work in Big Bear and you want to be somewhere in between Big bear and San Diego then I suggest you look somewhere north along the 15.

Pretty much anywhere within the metro you are going to be right on top of each other. Even in many of the suburban neighborhoods. There are some places up the 15 corridor or way out the 8 corridor that have large lots and more open space. If your boyfriend is going up to Big Bear (a long way from SD) I would think 15 corridor would be better. Areas surrounding Escondido are fairly affordable and can be quite nice. There is no local music scene in San Diego county outside of Downtown and the coastal areas, however.
