Default Extended Stay Hotel for Two Weeks in San Diego

I have to go to San Diego to attend a couple of meetings and would be there for two weeks. My friends have suggested me to stay in an extended stay hotel as these hotels provide good facilities such as microwave, refrigerator and most importantly Internet connection which I would need no matter what. One of my colleagues have referred to me California Suites Hotel as it is conveniently located right in the heart of San Diego.

California Suites Hotel doesn't get rated too highly by the Yelpers:
California Suites Hotel - Clairemont - San Diego, CA

What part of San Diego is most convenient to your meetings? How much are you looking to spend a nite?

Yes,same question: Where in SD will you be working/going the most? SD is a very spread out city-a series of suburbs. It doesn't usually take more than 20 min to get places, in central SD. But, still, you can base yourself even closer to where you need to be.

That said, Mira Mesa extended stay suites, on Mira Mesa Blvd, looks quite nice (I drive by there frequently), and the area is a business park area, punctuated with residential apt complexes and shopping plazas. The particular area it's located, is safe, and I would stay there (though you will have to check reviews.)

There is one in Mission Valley, in hotel circle, too, which may serve your needs. Keep in mind it's right on the 8 freeway, and seems to be more of a choice for folks who vacation in SD, as it is central to the beaches, downtown, balboa park, etc. But that area in general is host to numerous conventions, in various hotels....check it out/ and check the reviews.

That's all I got! Good luck.

I would agree on the Extended Stay Suites on Mira Mesa. We are staying there now due to some "housing issues" we are having and it has been good. Free breakfast in the morning and they also have dinner on Tue-Thurs.

I don't know if there needs to be another mention of this place, as it is the only thing the OP posts about. Personally, I would go to someplace in Sorrento Valley (92121) since it is mainly for business people so the accommodations are suitable for that level of traveler on extended stays.

Good observation. Guess this is really just a spam thread.

If looking for someplace within the city, my wife and I stayed at The Sommerset Suites in Hillcrest when we were apartment hunting for our move to San Diego. Rates are good, free internet and hot breakfast and parking is cheaper than most downtown hotels.
