Find a new agent! The market has slowed down so no excuse for "lazy" agents. Del Mar is more expensive as it is closer to the ocean. Carmel Valley is mainly newer construction and I think has several new schools. You can find lots of good homes "very pretty" in Del Mar or Carmel Valley. Good luck!

92130 is Carmel Valley
92104 is Del Mar

Both places have excellent schools.

Note that the market (esp condos) is very soft in San Diego, so you may want to move here first, rent, then feel things out.

Also, in these areas, for a 2Bdr condo, you will probably need to spend 370-500k.....is that what you had planned ?

I suspect prices will go lower, so you may want to hold out.

92104 is not Del mar.....................that's North Park etc. Try 92014.

Whoops !!! Thanks for catching that one. Funny how you can mix up a few numbers and end up in a completely different spot.

And wait a minute, why are you over here.....had enough of the "Is Texas Ugly ?" or "Are there any Gays in Texas" or "Houston vs. Dallas" threads :-)
