Hi! I am a single mom from SA, TX and pretty much hate being here. I am graduating from grad school next year and have been wanting to live in SD for awhile now. Can anyone give me advice on what it's like for a single woman in SD? I have visited friends there before and found the night life great, but visiting is always different. Also, what are some safe neighborhoods with good schools that are affordable? Thanks for the advice.

Some safe neighborhoods are Tierrasanta, Kensington, Scripps Ranch, Poway.

Tierrasanta and Poway have great schools in the area.

As for affordable, I don't know exactly what's affordable to you. If you can give a price range that would help narrow it down some.

Well I haven't graduated yet, but from research, I do know my starting salary and other income will be about $60k the first year and of course, that will increase year by year.
