Can anyone recommend some great restaurants (I know there's a ton but don't know where to begin)? Are there any special events going on over Labor Day weekend?

Sears Fine Foods for breakfast. OMY!!!! A plate of their small swedish pancakes........ oh heaven.

We found a lot of really neat places along the wharf that serve right there w/ outside dining. Really laidback, fresh seafood, great prices and wonderful views.

Take a trip up to the Napa Valley and find a nice winery to have dinner at if you have the time. Beautiful country. But ship your wines home now. With the new carry-on policies w/ the airlines you will not be able to carry it with you.

Question Where is...

Sears Fine Foods located?

What is OMY? I'm new to this.

Also, any areas to avoid?

Thanks for your suggestion. Anyone else?

Sears is located at 439 Powell St. They have a website if you google "Sears Fine Foods San Francisco" it should come up as the first one. Try Sears Fine Food com. It appears they have recently done a remodeling. The pictures made me start drooling.

OMY just stands for "oh my".

Also, watch the travel channel and the Food Network if they are going to be in that area. I have found some AWESOME places to eat at and some are not advertised so they are only known to the locals on some of the shows.
