Blondie's
Skipolini's

I lived in the Bay Area for 7 years, and coming from the NYC area, let's just say, I found as many great Pizzerias in the Bay Area as I've been able to find good Mexican restaurants in NYC (Hint, that's a very low number). What's your favorite pizza in the Bay Area ?
As a NY/NJ/CT transplant I'll put in my vote for the closest to NYC pizza in the Bay Area is New Yorker Pizza in Petaluma. I kid you not.
Sicilian immigrant family came to Bay Area after doing pizza biz in Brooklyn. 'nuff said.

Really wasn't impressed with Blondie's and Skipolino's though Skip's was better in my opinion. Blondie's is a SF institute, but it was New Jersey pizza quality at best.

Yeah I think the Blondie's is an emotional attachment from my youth. Skipolini's has 2 unusual things going for it, a pregnant pizza meant to induce labor, and a dining/kids play area out back. The pizza is good but I have to think outside the box sometimes when it comes to dining out.

I tried the Blondie's on Powell once and it was edible but kinda gross and very weird. The crust was a big spongey and damp thing that wasn't like normal pizza crust. Overall it seemed like nasty pizza from a middle school cafeteria.
