Default Room to rent needed

Hello,

I am a Christian Professional woman looking to rent a room in SF for 8 months and will need to move in by Oct 15. I am being transferred to SF from Monterey and my family will be staying here until my daughter graduates high school the end of May (we will then all be relocated to SF).

I will be working in Union Square and would like to be near public transportation, union square (or near), safe, clean, christian atmosphere and can pay upto $400 p/month.

Any suggestions???

Thank you

a) Look on craigslist, you probably won't have any luck looking for apartments here

b) good luck finding a room in an apartment with roommates for less than $600

c) avoid the Tenderloin which is right next to Union Square.

Have you tried roomster? Or a roommate referral service? I found them to be quite helpful. Good luck!

Craigslist is the way to go, but two problems... $400 won't get you anything in San Francisco, and you can't mention religion in a CL ad. I'd offer you my empty room, but you probably wouldn't want to live with a Jewish slob. Not to mention, I'm asking $750 for the room - and it's fairly small, hence the reason I say you won't find rooms for $400.

$400.00 month in S.F. for a decent room in a clean & safe neighborhood is unheard of.

Best of luck though.

You might consider living outside the city, very near a BART station. Good luck.

You can't discriminate against religions, but if you were to post a room/share wanted ad you could say whatever you like, because you're not the one offering accommodation..
