San Leandro is definitely dump status, as is East Palo Alto.

Stephen, S.F is a major city, it's expected to have major crime problems, but it's also twice as big as any city/area mentioned. Also S.F has so many positives, the negatives are often outweighed. You can't say the same for Oakland, or Richmond.

As it meets the standard
Strongly disagree on San Lorenzo. It's a safe middle-class place with a low crime rate and a lot of history, though it has had an interesting trend of white flight over the past 10 years for reasons I can't really grasp.

East Palo Alto, definately. San Leandro/San Lorenzo, not at all. There seems to be some sort of disconnect with those two cities. Understand, San Lorenzo is actually unincorporated; however, for some reason, the crime from Oakland jumps to Hayward. Misses San Leandro/San Lorenzo for some reason. Although, this year, San Lorenzo has had some serious increases in murders.

San Fancisco is a dump, based upon alot of reasons; the crime rate is just one.

We'll have to agree to disagree. San Leandro may not be a cesspool like Oakland, but it has way too much robbery and auto theft to not be considered for dump status.

San Francisco may be competing for dump status but the city still has some beacons of light to stave off the title of "dump" for a few more years.

San Leandro's sketchy. Not Oakland sketchy but its there. And being wedged in between hayward and Oakland does not help. Same goes for San Lorenzo. Sf has got nice parts and not so nice parts. Its a tale of two no maybe 4 or 5 cities in one.
