Are you looking for apartment complexes in general? I know you have several posts about other neighborhoods, but i don't think it is especially clear what sort of housing you want/need. Do you have an architecture preference. Small building or large? What amenities do you want in your complex vs your neighborhood?

Walnut Creek has a ton of them, the Park Regency one has just had many issues recently. Most apartment complexes in Walnut Creek are clumped together. Neighborhoods there are rarely mixed use. The street the Park Regency is on is wall to wall apartment and condo complexes, and then .5-1 mi away is a commercial district.

I would prefer something in the 1200 range. I like the location that is close to downtown. I just am wary after reading some things on apartmentratings.com

I lived on Cole Street, which was a great location as far as being close to the BART (about 3 blocks) and downtown (3 or 4 blocks). It is a dead end street with a decent apartment complex at the top of the hill. I think you can find something in that complex for around 1200-1300.
