Really, how much experience do you have in leadership. They arent leaders. They are lawmakers, and not very good at that. Case in point, they didnt read the health care bill. How can you vote on something without reading it. Pelosi even said they have to pass it to see whats in it.

But since you asked.
I want limited government. I dont want to pay for others misfortunes, ie welfare, unemployment, health care etc to the extent they are going.
I dont want socialism, which is where liberals are going.
I want people to get off their butts and be independent and work for themselves. I dont want to pay your mortgage.
I dont want to be forced to drive a frickin prius, which is not as environmentally friendly as you think. I dont want electric vehicles, as they require more power from a plant to recharge it and the motors put off gases that are not healthy (do the research and you will be amazed)((Just fix your old ass car and you will be happy with how much less it costs to fix up and older car, as opposed to building a new one, and disposing of the old)
There are so many things that I want, that I do for myself for pride.
I paid for my house, my 4 cars, my kids education, my cats health care, my families health care, my travel, my food. I dont rely on my neighbors paycheck to pay for my life.
If my family has problems, my family and I take care of our families. If they need help on their mortgage or health etc, we help them.
I dont want the frickin' gov taking my money and paying for illegal immigrants, and or half assed people that refuse to work or take care of themselves.
Do you see my point. Stop taking my money and paying for your failures and agendas.
LOL Gee never heard that before. "Socialism" huh, you mean you don't want Medicare, Fire Departments, Police departments, department of transportation. What do you mean Socialism? Do you even know what Socialism is? I wasn't aware people like Steve Jobs existed in true socialist countries like they do in California. Again nothing you're complaining about is original, it's all Republican talking points. So who forces you to drive a Prius? The paranoia never ends with people like you. The Governor drives hummers here. What are you talking about?

Medicare, hmm, policy for older people. Not socialism
Police departments, Fire Departments are a service to county's cities etc that people pay taxes for.
DOT is a BS department, as well as Dept of Education, DHS.
If you want to blanket everything might as well throw in the military and our government.
mod cut: our country is, a Republic. Not a democracy. Socialism is the path your president is trying to get our country too. Redistribution of wealth, do you know what that is. By taking everyone elses money and paying for other peoples stuff is socialism and eventually communism. Socialism has never succeeded. And it wont here.
And what does Steve Jobs have to do with anything you tool.
You are a sad individual that needs to wake up to reality. You are probably on unemployment and living large huh.

I'm not sure how I got mixed up about that. Definitely didn't realize Pelosi was raised in Baltimore.. anyway, it doesn't change my perception of her.

Hope Pelosi fails miserably..She really is a hindrance to this country...She cares nothing about the people of California, only about herself. She actually scares me when I listen to her...talk about a
"divider"...I don't care whether you are a REpublican, Democrat or Independent..I think the best road for
this country is to elect all new members to Congress, Senate and as Governors..Let's start fresh.

I am not dumb, just fed up with the state of our country and talking till you are blue in the face to people that just wont reason. So, I went off the deep end here.

Very true. However, Caliofornia's people, in their infinite wisdom, let the Legislature draw it own district boundaries. Naturally, they were gerrymandered creating "safe" districts for parties and incumbents. As a result, politicians pick their voters rather than the other way around.

Californians have an opportunity to correct the mistake on Nov. 2 by voting to retain the commission that is supposed to redraw the boundaries.

If they're smart, Californians will vote "No!" on Proposition 27 which would repeal Prop. 11 (2008) and give the redistricting back to the politicians. If they're not smart then Californians will deserve what they'll be stuck with.

You always write as if you are the final word on what it means to be a resident of California. You act like you know what the heart and soul of California is. Pelosi represents just one of 435 districts in the US. That district is one of the most liberal in the USA. It hardly represents California. Plenty of Democrats I know despise Pelosi because of her severe partisan style and arrogance to people who don't believe the federal government is the answer to everything.
You live in Texass, why do you care about California? Your state needs to stop sticking their noses in our business! We want green energy, quit trying to be the selfish gold digging radical conservatives you are and leave us the hell alone! You stay out of California and I will be very happily staying out of Texass.

But its not their fault that they keep getting elected---its ours!

I am huge opponent of term limits and redistricting done by any body aside from elected legislators because they are our represented. Some specially appointed group by the Governor is going to be slanted towards that Guv's party...which Arnold successfully pushed through but it looks like Brown is going to get to take advantage of if he become Governor.

Anyway, I appreciate your points in this thread. Thanks.

Conversations like these are totally useless. I myself definitely lean one way politically but stating my political opinions to total strangers is a pointless, nonconstructive exercise. The fact is that whatever party is in power will mean the side that lost is going to make a bunch of noise. When Bush was President there were definitely some loony wacky things said about him and now that Obama is President its the same thing. If you want to make a statement, go out and vote. Enough said.
