The Eastshore Freeway sucks, yes. I had to use it for a couple months when I was working in Pinole in the afternoon, coming from the peninsula. After a while I gave up and started using BART and WestCAT, which was sometimes a little sketchy if I was on a line that served the Hilltop Mall. Still, it was better than driving.
