It is a shame simply because there could be so much done to prevent it, but the residents of the city just don't want to acknowledge that something is wrong with the city.

I suppose it's because outsiders can see the flaws, and insiders have grown indifferent to them.

i dont know if Oakland is the worst city in the bay, but I wouldnt live there anymore. spent 5 years in that city and unless you make tons of money, or get lucky, you arent making it there.

lol at MacArthur Blvd being worse than anything in North Richmond, North Vallejo or any of the projects in Hunters Point. W MacArthur's another story.

That makes a whole lot of sense. Why not create your own then? Better yet, how do you now the password to the one you're using? And why would you be using someone else's (unless its your wife's) anyway?

He really did say MacAurthur didn't he?LOL!!!

See out of state, or those simply not from the Bay Area wouldn't know Foothill Blvd or International or E 14th. They also wouldn't know the cross streets which encompass the worse parts of those streets

1st- didnt mean macarthur blvd is the worst area, i was just using it as an example of a bad area.

2nd- this is actually my cousins account, and i dont feel the need to make my own account to simply state a few opinions on a thread...might as well just use an existing account.

3rd- how did this turn into a conversation about me and accounts and whats so important about trying to prove me wrong? lol this thread isnt about me.

and Gentoo if your insinuating that macarthur blvd isnt a troubled area, i encourage you to take a stroll down the blvd at late hours of the night, come back to this thread (if you make it home LOL) and write about your experience.

I live 3 blocks up the street from MacArthur Blvd. I walk down to 7 11 and the safeway at night all the time. Matter of fact I'm about to go to 7 11 right now (it's 10:21 here). It really depends what part of MacArthur Blvd you're talking about. MacArthur Blvd in DEO is actually fine for the most part and anything above it (ie the Eastmont Hills) is middle class.

Would you care to specify what part of MacArthur Blvd you're talking about?

Of course you're just stating facts, I'm not sure why that would warrant the response you got.
