Hi I am a Clinical Laboratory Scientist who had to have all of my immunizations and TB testing to work in my profession. You can go to any clinic or doctors office. I fortunately have all of my childhood immunization records and those were accepted as long as my titers were good for the different immunizations. I was tested for my titers. If any are low then they will immunize you again. If you know you were immunized or have the records you should just have your titers run. You can obtain those results for your records. I recommend that you hang onto a copy of them. TB testing can be performed at most clinics or doctors office. The test needs to be read within 48-72 hours after the injection. They will give you the result after they read the size of the induration. You will be required to be tested every year for TB.

I need to get a TB test soon too for an apprenticeship I'll be starting. I'm also not insured and have no physician. I'm planning on going to the Berkeley Free Clinic sometime this week to get it done: TB Testing | Berkeley Free Clinic Sorry if it's a little out of the way. I also had a lot of trouble finding a place that will just do a simple TB test--don't understand why.

For your medical records, you need to call the medical records office where you got your immunizations. Usually there is a fee.

I had to get tb test's when I volunteered to work with kids at school. I just went to one of those "doc in a box" clinics that are all over the place. I could have gone to my own Dr too.

It won't hurt anything but your pocket book to have all of your immunizations repeated. Or you can have them test for your antibody titers for each immunization required. I would see which cost is less...running your titers or just getting immunized all over again. Even with all of my records my titers were low for 2 immunizations. I had to be immunized again. Also I did not seroconvert when I received the Hepatitis B vaccine. I had all 3 series and my titers were ZERO a year later! That does occur in some people. I had to have the series again and the second time I did seroconvert!
