Default KITV-TV in Honolulu to broadcast SF Giants games in Hawaii

Interesting...

Quote:
Many factors have drawn Hawaii fans to the Giants' organization over the years. They are the closest team to the Islands from a geographical perspective, Giants' slugger Barry Bonds came up through the Hawaii Islander's farm team system for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Duane Kurisu, real estate developer and owner of ESPN radio in Hawaii is a minority owner of the Giants franchise. Of interest to local fans, the first game against the A's features Oakland's starting catcher Kurt Suzuki; a Maui boy and Baldwin graduate

KITV4 Sports Director Robert Kekaula, who will feature in-depth Giants' reports during the 6pm News on game days says "As a kid growing up in Hawaii the uncles and aunties brain-washed us to love the Giants - and it's been sickening recently since we couldn't watch them play. But, now we're really jacked that we can!" KITV4 Weekend Sports Anchor Jahmai Webster reports that as a huge Dodger's fan "I understand the rivalry between the two cities and am especially looking forward to those games. By the end of the season I'm sure Robert Kekaula will have me rooting for our home team San Francisco Giants."
