So, I came up with a solution about how am I going to move to San Francisco. Ya!!

I am an Young Accountant with some IT Background and is pursuing CPA at the moment. I live in the East Coast and I've always want to live in the San Francisco area.

Anyway, I am flying to San Francisco on Sunday for an interview with a large company on Tuesday. (The company apparently really likes my resume and really want to meet me in person) But I was thinking, if it doesn't work out, why not just stay there for a month and see how things go.

I can stay at a hostel paying $30 a day for 30 days. All I need is my clothes for work and my laptop I am good to go. I can use a recruiter agency to land something temporary and hopefully to turn that into a full-time position.

I hate the feeling when I received phone calls, my inability to go on interview because I am not physically there, but by staying there temporary will give me a better perspective on how things will be.

What do you guys think???

Do you want a hostel or an apartment? People offer temporary rooms or apartments on craiglist, there's a section for it. Often someone's roommate will move out early and they need someone to live there for a month or so until the lease is out and everyone else moves out. You'll probably want something furnished just so you have a bed.

Many years ago, I rented a very small furnished studio apt. (with a pullout bed) on Pine Street not far from the Financial District in a bldg. that all apts. were rented out for 1-3 months.

Craigslist is the way to go, I have lots of friends who've rented rooms for short periods. Best of all, you get to meet and hang out with locals in their home, rather than being a sterile hotel room isolated from the community around you.

The craigslist temporary housing is definitely the way to go. When we first moved here last year, we subletted a two-bedroom apartment from an IT guy who was out of the country for a month and it worked out great.
