I just got my apartment in North Beach! Everytime I go there I feel like it's sunnier than everywhere else...

Welcome to the neighborhood! Hope you enjoy it here. Give me a shout if you want any recommendations for around the neighborhood.

For an area that averages about 90F this time of year, I would consider upper 70s "mild" or even "cool," but certainly not "hot." I grew up around there. 105 degrees -- now that's what I call hot. Even 80s without humidity is very temperate and not at all uncomfortable in the valleys.

It's pretty remarkable that a comment posted by the OP as a joke has turned into 9 pages of discussion about nothing more mundane than how much marine layer the City has in one neighborhood or another. I've been in San Diego for a few months right now, and we've had plenty of coastal stratus (like right now), and nobody gives a flying ****. Not sure why this is even a topic really.

When it's around 60-70 and overcast like today it is perfect for biking though. It was so dark and gray though that it really feels like it's going to rain at any minute, though it's not going to is it.

I was going to go biking around Concord but it is just really lovely by the Bay today, not a cloud in the sky, so I rode up to N. Berkeley and got a couple slices at Gioia's and probably a bit of a sunburn. Really good pizza there.
