Great news, the MTC has rescinded last month's vote to purchase a new building in SF.

Considering the new building was in a horrible location, more expensive than the proposed office site, that should have been the obvious conclusion. What stuck the nail in the coffin? The fact that it appeared MTC used inconsistent criteria to judge the two locations, and did not provide Oakland officials the complete project specifications.

beat me to it!

Yes, this is good news. I thought that was a really stupid move on the MTCs part considering 60% of their employees live in the East Bay.

And that building was so overpriced. The only winner was the real estate developer.

Seriously? Bridge Tolls? Sheesh what is the MTC smoking?

Oakland dodge a bullet this time...

Unfortunately, empire building is all too much a part with government agencies in my opinion...
