Default 3 Nights In San Francisco

I'm visiting San Francisco for the first time and wanted some ideas of cool places to check out if I'm only there 3 nights. I love places with some history. I'm thinking of staying at the Fairmont or St. Francis but if I could find something similar for less I'd consider it (parking is $60/day at the Fairmont..ugh).

Also I'd like to find the San Francisco equivalent of Musso & Frank's or the Dresden Room in L.A. or the Oak Room in NY - old school with leather booths and great martinis. A fun dive bar or piano bar would be good too. I already plan to go to the Tiki Bar at the Fairmont. I'd like to visit at least one museum too, preferably with a good modern art collection. Thanks for suggestions!

Ernies for dinner.

Golden gate to Marin Headlands (old pillbox installations) and natural beauty of the coast.

VA Med Center Fort Miley on the coast near Land's End. Follow Geary street. Cliff House for Lunch, brunch or dinner. Historical sites all. Legion of Honor one of SF great museums just off the street near the VA.

That Ernie's place looks like it was exactly what I was looking for but all of the info I could find online says that it no longer exists. Thanks for the suggestions.

Try Burbon and Branch or Comstock for very SF bars (artisan cocktails).
