Sausalito fog?
I recently visited San Rafael and really like it, especially taking the ferry over to San Francisco! But Sausalito, which I didn't visit, may be more affordable. Someone told me Sausalito is foggy in the Summer time. Is that true?

I'll let others answer the fog question, but I really don't think Sausalito is more affordable than San Rafael...quite the opposite, at least in terms of avg. home prices.

I was about to say the same, unless things have really changed in the past 10 years, Sausalito is very pricey...just think about the proximity to San Francisco. As for the fog, it is foggy but the fog usually burns off by mid day. i think it is kinda cool.

You can take a fairly short drive from Sausalito to Tiburon. And Tiburon is sunnier than Sausalito.
