I've also had great luck at Hoot Judkins in San Bruno.....bought my very nice desk there at a very fair price.....
Hi Tallysmom,

I wonder if your Tuesday Mornings is the same as the ones here in South Florida. Because the ones here are not upscale at all and seem to be a smaller, cheaper, discount home store. Homegoods is to the Tuesday Mornings here what Neiman Marcus is to Walmart!

Always enjoy shopping for furniture at Kantors. Easy parking, family business, good selection and reasonable prices.

I would think it's the same thing -- but our Homegoods isn't as nice....

Oh no, I hope that's not the case. Luckily I'll be there to check it out myself before I know it.

Thanks again everyone!

If you look for both stores -- they are located practically right next to each other in Moraga.... Homegoods is at 594 Moraga Rd and Tuesday Morning is at 444 Center Street. If I am correct on this -- it's two different shopping centers on opposite sides of Moraga Rd.

Hi there,
I just wanted to revive this thread as I also need to furnish a whole house shortly, but I don't necessarily want to buy new right away. Even at IKEA prices, furnishing a whole house in one go is going to be expensive. Would anybody know of any good second hand furniture stores in the East Bay?

Thanks in advance.

Try Uhuru Furniture on Grand in Oakland. Really bargain stuff there. I know someone who got a couch for $25 there. There is also a consignment store off the East Bayshore Road in Albany or Berkeley north of Gilman (slightly South of the Target).

And if you like modern looking furniture, go to Sitcom Furniture Outlet in Oakland. It is really cheap. This weekend they were clearancing couches for $250-300 (New furniture). A couple of months ago king headboards were $99.
