Need some advice regarding my rent lease
This is a little bit tricky, to be honest, I am not exactly sure what the best solution is.
Anyway, when I moved here from the East Coast I found a room and signed a 3 month lease expires on September 16. I recently just found an apartment and I will be moving in on September 11. The family I am renting the room from, they are actually going on a vacation on September 11 and come back on September 22nd. Long story short, I either have to move out on September 11 or September 22 (When they are present).
I don't mind move out on September 11 if I have the entire day, but unfortunately, I need to move out by 10am... And if I move out on September 22, I will have to pay the rent from September 17-22, which I will be at my new apartment. (The rent for September 17 to 22 is $200) If I move out after 16th and before 22, if someone broke in or stole anything my landlord told me that I will be responsible for the loss.
Anyone have any suggestion on how to deal with this?

How to work this out is really between you and your landlord.
But I can tell you that your landlord has no ground to make you responsible for anything that he can't proof.
If I were you, I'd move out on Sept 16 and grab a camera/camcorder to record the aftermath as proof that nothing is broken/stolen and that you've locked all doors/windows after you leave. If someone breaks on after you've vacated it's not your problem.

If I understand correctly, your landlord is giving you the option of moving out while he is gone? If so, what's wrong with that? I would just make sure that the place is secure before I left and follow the landlord's instruction as to where he wants you to leave the key, etc. Confirm your arrangement in writing.

Seems that if you signed the lease to vacate on/before Sept. 16, then that's all you're required to do from a legal standpoint. It's not really your problem if they want you out prior to that or in their presence.
If anything, it seems they need to owe YOU the remaining days if they break their end of the contract by making you leave earlier than stated.
Tell them you can vacate early on the 11th , tell them you'll clean, lock up, leave the key, and write down your new address/phone # so they can do the walk through if needed when they get back. Take photos of your cleaned room just to be on the safe side.

Tell your landlord to give you a refund for the difference or allow you to move out at the end of your lease. They have no right legally speaking to say you have to move out by Sept 11 if it wasn't written out in the lease.
