I'm looking for a conservative, protestant church in San Francisco and wondered if anyone has found a good one. By conservative I mean a church that follows traditional Christian teachings. I recognize finding a place like this (other than Catholic) in San Francisco is a long shot, but wondered if anyone had any personal recommendations. Thanks.

Don't all churches follow traditional Christian teaching? I'm a little confused. Are some more "traditional" than the others?

There's a large range, in my opinion, as to how closely different churches follow "traditional" teachings. By way of example, the Presbyterian church has been arguing internally for years over whether to ordain gay people, which, of course, is a pretty non-traditional concept.

Grace Cathedral is absolutely beautiful and does a very traditional service, but the Episcopal Church is extremely inclusive and likely the exact opposite of what the OP is looking for. It sounds like the OP is looking more for a church that is conservative in its viewpoints rather than its liturgy. I'm thinking more non-denominational and evangelical is what they're looking for, and I doubt there's much of that within city limits. Which perspective one considers traditional is probably a matter of opinion.
