By the way, having lived in Japan and just outside Washington, D.C., I love the cherry blossom festivals.

Except why do they have to have Japanese Cherry Blossom Festivals? Where are the White Cherry Blossom Festivals?

Are you only offended when something is called "black" or are you equally offended by groups like the Asian-Pacific Islander Legislative Caucus or the Italian-American Legislative Caucus or the Jewish Caucus?

Yep! They all offend me. But as radical an idea as I know it must be, I'm very much in favor of an American Caucus - hyphenates not necessary or encouraged.

Well I'm in favor of parades, just because they have a theme doesn't make them exclusionary. Kids love the animals and the bands and might learn a thing or two by seeing someone who looks like themselves in a position they never considered before. Sounds like a great escape for a couple of hours from a sometimes drab life for many living in the city.

Heck, I'm not even 100% Irish and attend the St. Patrick's day parade with many other non Irish attending and participating and don't feel excluded at all.

Gotta love Crums fake outrage. I find it funny that some one his age waits until now to talk about all the inequalities in the world.

Where was he in 1963,64, and 65 when blacks, mexicans, gays, and women, struggled for basic political and civil rights?

Why he was down in so cal of course. Being a beach boy. See back then, when the world was "his" he had no worries. Now all of a sudden, the country has "issues". LoL.

What is so sad is that it is so easy to see right through this act. He does not have a problem with a St. Patricks day and he does not have a problem when his jewish people lighting up a menorah in a public square in downtown Mountain View.

Why those are nice ethnocentric activities.

But some black cowboys, well thats just gosh darn awful. Call the press!!!! Call the cops!!!!! Call Bill Orielly!!!!!!!!!!!

Call the over-reaction squad. NorCal's on overload. In '63 and '64 I was in high school in Minnesota. In '65 in college.

The country's had issues for decades that you likely slept through or weren't even around for.
