When I think of the Bay Area lifestyle all this comes to mind:

-Tolerance of different beliefs, ethnicities, and cultures
-Environmentally conscious
-Dense suburban communities and dense urban communities
-Fashion forward (trendy clothing stores)
-Health conscious (organic grocery markets like Whole Foods, TJs, etc...)
-More use of public transportation
-Many walkable and thriving downtowns
-Less shopping centers and smart growth (for the most part)

No, what comes to mind for me is hard-working and an endless search for parking, but good sushi.

The Bay Area is not "fashion forward" if by that you mean "fashion conscious" or "caring about the way you look".

People don't care about fashion here. Its whatever.

Ehhhhhh... Not sure about that one, haha.

Also, Bay area is 9 million people, only 800k are in S.F, the rest live in fairly car centric places. Hell, my wife and her husband live in S.F and still own 2 cars.

I would add hard working to borderline workaholic culture to that list...
