Does LTR mean long term relationship? If it does and
you are an immigrant in SF or LA, then your good.
Californians love dating and marrying people from
different countries/cultures. Both genders do.

immigrant background, what type? are you latino , asian , it really depends . Los Angeles is really latino, and hebrew(west LA) while San Francisco is Chinese and Anglo, If i had a choice between the greater los angeles area including surrounding mountains or san francisco i would chose Los angeles. If that was not included though i would choose sf

If I didn't have to look for jobs and can afford both LA and SF, I would choose a SoCal beach town close to LA (e.g., Manhattan beach, Hermosa, Santa Barbara etc.). LA is bigger, diverse, more things to do and actually close to an equally wonderful wine country. You also get the added benefit of being close to beaches which can be used during the summer. Of course, there is no Lake Tahoe (Big Bear doesn't count), but you are a 4 hr drive away from Vegas.

Each region has a widely different personality. Pick one that suits your likes. Personally, I don't really like LA. Too much driving and traffic. The weather is pleasant, but the Bay Area weather is as well. I like the Bay Area more, since I think, if you live in one of the appropriate cities, it is easier to move around the metro without driving. And downtowns are more vibrant in the Bay Area.

I think the worst part of LA is the people. The weather and scenery are great and there's plenty to do (beaches, nightlife, art, great food, etc) but for whatever reason, the majority people down there just irritate the hell out of me. Not everyone is a vapid moron, but you can't really swing a dead cat in the LA Basin without hitting one.

Reminds me of Oakland, now that you mention it - except for the part about great weather and scenery.

Two completely different cities... depends on what you're looking for. What kind of job are you looking for?

Yeah, the weather and scenery in Oakland is just horrible. Who in their right mind would find this appealing?

Just ugly as all hell.
It's much more scenic at night, when you can see the flash of gunfire provide a romantic tinge to the view.

LA and Oakland have pretty similar problems with crime and riots, so your attempt at trolling is pretty weak...

Then again, you'd argue with a brick wall or anyone that'll give you attention, so I'm not why anyone has even bothered replying to you in the first place.
