*sigh*

I love SF. Love it. Hands down, my favority city in the US by far. I've been several times over the years and also have a ton of friends that live there. I will be there someday. I lived in Chicago for most of my life, and recently moved to Denver. So I'm halfway there!

Actually, it is so humid it will take your breath away at times...literally. I will always love Texas for the wonderful people and reasonable cost of living. Owning a home is an obtainable goal for most everyone....that been said...the weather in Houston is absolutley horrible, no "ifs, and or buts" about it. If I am not mistaken there is more airconditioning used in Houston than most anywhere else....and rightly so!

San Francisco is a great place to live simply for it's beauty and charm. In all big cities, you have your "bums" and we living and loving SF have our share. What makes this city so wonderful is that we can live the lifestyle that we choose and have known all of our lives. No one really cares who you are via your sexual orientation, color of skin, etc.....One can openly express themselves in our beautiful city. I have never lived in a city with the charm, old heritage, beautiful scenery.....as SAN FRANCISCO.

Hey we wacky hippie liberals have to have someplace to call home!

I love San Francisco because it can take irreverence and turn it into political satire. Look at the way people dress (or not) for the Bay to Breakers race. The Folsom Street Fair. Halloween in the Castro (which is currently a nogo I believe). I love all that *****.

I love San Francisco because the smell of the fog is like pure happiness to my brain. I love the sound of foghorns at night. And while we are on fog I love KFOG.

I love the farmers markets, the Asian markets and Market Street. I love people watching at Stella Cafe. You can always get great coffee and biscotti in SF.

I love my family and they were born in SF...and live in the Bay Area...and I don't anymore.

There are only a few places this New Englander would go to live...San Fran is one. Guess what...we northeasterners are wacky liberals too! Drive up 30 miles from here...and you have Northampton/Amherst....aka Berkeley East!

There is a reason northeasterners like San Fran and...yes...vice versa. We have many ex-Bay Area residents in Connecticut. MANY.

Because San Francisco has this special feel to it. I've been to all of the major cities on the West Coast including Vancouver, BC and they all were great. However, San Francisco is still my favorite city that I've been to.
