Default Do you SFers realize how lucky you are to live there?

I have lived/ traveled all over the country and there is no city as beautiful with such lovely weather, great restaurants, diversity, breathtaking natural beauty as SF/ Bay Area.

Do you people have any idea that you live in the closest thing to paradise in the country despite the high COL? I am so jealous of you all...I have to rot in the miserable winters of the east coast till I can relo out there.

Um, yeah. That's why I left stank NYC and moved back.

Cue all the jealous haters!

But anyway, to answer your question: Yes, I personally am thankful every single day that I get to live here. This place is just so damn cool.

Yes. I and every transplant I know are grateful pretty much every single day.

Seriously, every time I see an address -- my own or a business I'm patronizing -- I get all giddy. (Though sometimes I see it and think, "Gee, San Francisco... that would be cool. OH RIGHT. Here I am!)

It's better than horribly humid east coast summers. Those are brutal.

At least you can drive a few miles outside of the city in almost every direction to get to near perfect summer weather.

I believe people who live in San Francisco (and even San Diego) are lucky to be where they are, but the political climate and crazy costs would keep me away. I'll just visit if I need a fix.

LA on the other hand....

The summer i visited SF was nice & cool. One day in late july it was rainy & 60 degrees. I would love to spend a entire in frisco but its way too expensive to live & its a safe haven for illegals (criminals).
