I've done a little bit, but I'm going to have to pick up the pace because looks like I'll have to start within 2-3 weeks.

Surely we would not want to start uttering the sorts of excuses of thugs and wifebeaters. Then again, there is that new SF Sheriff...

Chip? Really? Because I am insulted by your insinuation that certain groups people are "undesirable" in your defintition because they belong to a certain ethnic group. I don't support people who stereotype based on ethnicity in any context.

You haven't done anything to remove yourself from my blacklist.

I'd expect someone who is moving across the country would use that as an opportunity to expand their horizons, but based on your comments to date, that would not appear to be the case. You'll find that things aren't the same in the Bay Area as it is in NYC. Things are generally segregated by class or education level and interest. After that, you'll find all sorts of people across multiple ethnicities in the *gasp* same social circle.

Wow another condescending response! Sorry NYCtoSF, you seem like a lost cause. It's really simple, in celebration of MLK, I'll share this quote with you:

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character
You've made it clear that it is hard for you to classify certain types of people as individuals -- pre-judging them before even learning about their individuality. You really can't be surprised that people are offended by this.

"My kind" doesn't want to be friends with you, since obviously you'll be one of those people that are caricatured in this video.

All of these apartments that I'm looking at in the SOMA/South Beach/Mission Bay area seem to be >$2,000. I looked on Craigslist and a few other management companies. The only complex with studios for under $2,000 is Bayside Village.

Any other ideas on where to look? I hope to fly out there next week, get a hotel room for 2-3 days and look at a bunch of places. Help me out.
