Default Yuppie wear.

If you are going to hang out in the Marina, then wear your nice yuppie clothes. Anywhere else, normal yuppie wear will be fine.

Went to the Mission last night with a friend, walked to Valencia from the Bart, which is supposed to be the "cool" part of it I guess. All I saw was a bunch of hipsters dressed like homeless people.

Dudes wearing skinny jeans, hoodies, flannel shirts, t-shirts. Some of the women were smoking hot but I suspect they were artsy, fartsy, far-left, liberal types -- which negates their hotness.

Why can't people in this city try to be a little more clean cut? I see grown white men with long hair, tattoos, beards, piercings, dressed like bums. Don't get me wrong, you see these types in NYC too, but they're outnumbered by clean cut yuppies, at least in the city.

I never left Manhattan during my 4 years in NYC, so can't speak on what Brooklyn is like.

The only place in the city I regularly see lots of nicely dressed, clean-cut types is in the Catholic church in Pac Heights...

Probably not prime picking-up-chicks territory.

Went to North Beach yesterday and it wasn't too bad, yuppie crowd with some cute birds around.

You've really moved to the wrong city, haven't you? Sounds like you're going to have a pretty miserable time of it here if you hanker after clean-cut yuppies. Most people come to San Francisco precisely because of the artsy, fartsy, far-left, liberal types. That's what it's all about.

Were you just not successful enough in your job hunt on the East Coast?
